How to use the “Skip ahead to the next Windows release” feature?

Your Windows Insider Program content settings have been reverted

However, many users were unable to use the Skip ahead feature and the OS simply reverted to the previous version while giving the error message: Getting this error means the user has missed the preview for the release, however, there’s a way to still enroll for it. The steps are as follows: Note: Please save a backup of the system’s data before making any changes to the registry of the system. 1] Press Win + R to open the Run window and type the command “regedit.” Press Enter, it will open the Registry Editor. 2] Navigate to the path: 3] On the right-pane, check that the value of UIContentType should be set to “Skip” and the value of UIRing should be set to “WIF.” 4] Now navigate to the path: 5] In the right-pane, the value of ContentType should be set to “Skip.” If the following values in the registry are true, the user should be able to Skip ahead for the release, but if not, they can be modified by right-clicking on the value and editing it. Upon modifying the values, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program once again and check the status of the update. If it is either pending or downloading, consider the issue resolved. Else, we would have to restart the system after which it would surely proceed with the updates. Let us know if this helped.
