Your other Xbox is taking a long time to sync to the cloud

Xbox shows the “Your other Xbox is taking a long time to sync to the cloud” error message usually when the user has played the game on another Xbox and that Xbox has not completed the syncing yet. However, there could be other reasons too that trigger this error. The following solutions will help you resolve this issue on your Xbox Console. Use these solutions in the exact order they are mentioned here. Let’s see all these fixes in detail.

1] Check your internet connection

These types of problems also occur due to an unstable internet connection. Check if your internet connection is working fine or not. If you have an ethernet cable, connect your Xbox Console with that cable and try again. If the issue was occurring due to a network glitch, this will fix the problem. You should also restart your router to fix the network glitch. If your internet connection is working fine, the problem might be associated with another Xbox Console. Now, proceed ahead to the next solution.

2] Complete sync on another Xbox Console

As mentioned above, the major advantage of cloud save is that you can play your games on another Xbox Console simply by signing in to your profile. If you have played the game on another Xbox Console, say on your friend’s console, the problem might be occurring due to incomplete sync on that console. To make it easy to understand for you, let’s name the Xbox Consoles A and B. Xbox Console A is the console on which you are experiencing the error and Xbox Console B is the console on which you played the game before, say your friend’s console. Now, keep the Xbox Console A open and contact your friend or any other person to turn on Xbox Console B and sign in to your profile on console B. After signing in to your profile, load your saved game data and let Xbox Console B finish syncing it to the cloud. Once console B finishes the sync process, select Try again on Xbox Console A and wait till console A checks if another device has finished syncing. After that, you can sign out of another console (Xbox Console B). This should fix the issue.

3] Clear the cache on your Xbox Console

If despite trying the above fix, the issue persists, the problem is occurring due to another cause. Clear the cache on your Xbox Console and see if it braings any changes. This action will clear the temporary data stored on your console which is used by games and apps to speed up the requests. The easiest way to clear the cache on Xbox Consoles is to power cycle them:

4] Remove and add your profile

If the problem still persists, remove your profile from Xbox Console and add it again. Go through the following instructions to remove your profile from Xbox Console.
